I attempt to create an atmosphere that is kind and direct. I bring a curious and thoughtful openness to the
therapeutic conversation and will often share my thinking with you. I’m interested in engaging with clients
in an emotionally compelling way, which creates the possibility for lasting change to occur. I work
psychodynamically, which means I’m always keeping in mind that the nuances of the therapeutic relationship
are often reflective of outside relationships and concerns. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral, mindfulness
and sensorimotor practices when needed. I recognize the uniqueness of each person’s situation and am ultimately
interested in offering what is going to be most helpful to each individual.
At its best, therapy should provide practical solutions while also expanding one’s emotional capacities, which in turn
reveals a richer, happier and more satisfying life. In our conversations, we will work at your own pace to understand what
really matters to you and how you can live more fully. I am an avid listener and have a deep interest
in language and the subtle, complex ways that meaning is conveyed. Your job is to be as honest, curious and reflective as
you can be.
